Fallen Heroes Survivors Foundation
Mike Ladouceur, Chairman and Founder of the Fallen Heroes Survivors Foundation, was our guest speaker this week.
Fallen Heroes Survivors Foundation, Inc. (FHSF) is a Non Profit 501(c) 3 Corporation (incorporated in 2011) that was founded in 2010 by Mike Ladouceur. FHSF provides services to the surviving spouses and dependent children of our brave American military personnel who have fallen in battle during the war on terror, as well as those persons who have committed suicide due to documented Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) as a result of their service to our country during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. The foundation uses 85% of every dollar donated to support these families, so your donations go a long way.
FHSF challenges all Americans to stand up and give back to the families who have made the ultimate sacrifice. All interested citizens can help Fallen Heroes' spouses and dependent children make ends meet during this painful transitional period.
Visiting from the Bellaire/Southwest Houston Club was a "regular" visitor...Homer Borgstedte. Come on back Homer!
Assisting Mike Ladouceur with toting of his presentation materials was Oyster Creek Club Rotarian Mike Baker. The two Mikes have a wonderful repectful/no respect relationship that is absolutely hilarious to witness. Mike Baker is also a member of the Board for the Fallen Heroes Survivors Foundation.
Sunshine News was really enlightening this week (pun intended). Many folks were delighted with the change in the weather and several raved about the Club Social last Saturday. Mostly we had a very happy group of folks who were delighted to be together. Y'all come back...hear?
Ads Needed for Basketball Classic Program
Ken Burgess reports that thus far he shows as confirmed the following ads: full page Lifetime Eyecare (thanks Archie), full page Seatran (thanks Chuni), full page from HBU, full page from ITT Tech, 1/2 Page from ProCare (thanks Evelyn).
Ken will do the program again this year and email it to the printer here for the club to pick up. But...he needs YOUR ads as soon as possible! Friday, November 4th, is the deadline to ad materials...and Ken will be moving the following week. So let's get it together gang!
