Ralph Head...Come On Down!
In lieu of a speaker this week, the club celebrated the addition of a new member to our family. President Delores Delsing did the honors and inducted Ralph Head into the Rotary Club of Sharpstown.
Ralph is the pastor of Redemption Church a new congreation that is forming in the Sharpstown area. Ralph is assited by his wife Anna, who is also a school teacher.
The first visit Ralph made to our club was the day on which the Principal of Ed White Elementary came to talk to the club about the school and its needs. It happens that Ralph has done volunteer work at Ed White, mentoring some of the students and helping out in other areas.
One of Ralph's first assignments as a member of our club is to work with Jon King on the Ed White Elementary School relationship with our club and determine was we can be of further assistance to the school.
Welcome Ralph! You are part of the Rotary Family now! |

This week we welcomed back two of our favorite people: Victoria Perreault, owner of Accurate Drug & Alcohol Testing, Inc, who has visited with us three times in the last month joined us again. And, Craig Wooten, who was our previous Assistant Governor and is a member of the Bellaire / Southwest Houston rotary Club honored us with his presence this week.
Delighted to see you both...come again...SOON! |

Our Rotary Club assisted by getting the contact information of the Rotary District Governors for the two Rotary Districts in Pakistan so that Rotary can help coordinate the distribution of the relief supplies upon their arrival. Our club also is acting as a sponsor of the shipment - to help ease the way for the two containers to speedily make the trip from Houston to Karachi and then on to those in real need of the supplies. Learn more about the disaster.
Applause to Arif Saleem, and special thanks to his friends who assisted in filling the containers! This is truly an example of SERVICE ABOVE SELF! |
