Report from the Boy Scouts

Raquel Ramirez, District Executive for the Golden Arrow District of the Sam Houston Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America was our guest speaker this week. The Golden Arrow District encompasses an area of southwest Houston that includes Sharpstown.

Throughout this year the Boy Scouts are celebrating the 100th Anniversary of their founding. There will be events held through the year as a part of this celebration. More details can be found here.

JohnPaul Jourard or our club is very involved in scouting, and serves as a District Committee Member. He even wore his scouting uniform to the meeting in honor of the event.

Guests, Visitors and Other Good News

We were delighted to have Ralph Head join us as a visitor again. Three weeks in a row...keep up the good work Ralph!

We were also delighted to welcome back our own Bill Landers. Bill was absent for several weeks due to some unfortunate family matters. It was good to see him "back home" again!

And...we had a lot of commentary about the weather. Ten days of rain...WOW! Of course, this being Houston it rained somewhere...but maybe not on your parade.
