Shen Yun,
Shen Yun Performing Arts (formerly known as Divine Performing Arts) is a triumph of collaboration, bringing together leading dancers, choreographers, and musicians from around the world. Its productions are unique in being not only tremendously fun and entertaining, but also educational, enriching, and uplifting.
The company’s rich repertory breaks new ground by focusing on the authentic cultural heritage of classical China while also giving artistic treatment to the world around us. Each year, Shen Yun premieres an entirely new program of dances, songs, and musical scores.
This year Shen Yun will perform three times in Houston in the Brown Theater at Wortham Center. For more information click the logo above. |

Guests, Visitors and Other Good Things
Bill Landers was put "in the barrel" by President Bola today...as the Birthday Boy. He handled it very well, and raised a handful of cash for the Ed Webster Vocational Scholarship Fund. Then he told a story about trying to so a make-up in Killeen...and how he almost ended up having lunch with a room full of County Judges instead. Only Bill could make that happen!
Jon King told a story about how he blew a vitamin pill up into his sinuses...and the 3-hour turmoil he went through to get that sucker out of his nose. More than we ever wanted to know!
Ken Marsh did a "gig" in Hutto, as the featured speaker for a Chamber of Commerce event there. He has been invited back to do training for a realtor in that area. Way to go Ken!
Wayne Staton made a trip to San Francisco for an event where he had the opportunity to rub elbows with a bundle of people who are changing the the world through their service to each other and mankind. That's our Wayne...such a wallflower (NOT!) |

Karen Blakeman recognized two more members for their contributions to the Rotary Foundation: Chuni Vyas is a Polio Plus Society member now and Bola Stephen stood in for her husband Ade to become a Paul Harris Contributing Member. We are very close to again being a 100% Paul Harris Club. If you have not yet given Archie or Karen you contribution for this year...DO SO NEXT WEEK!
Ken Marsh scored big in this month's auction. He was high bidder for the Collector's Edition Star Trek 8-piece Pez Dispenser set. Way to go Ken! |

but the privilege of doing it.
