Monthly Auction

We held the monthly auction for the Ed Webster Vocational Scholarship Fund and President Bola did it differently. Each item auctions off was handled by a different club member. We had Rory Olson, JohnPaul Jourard, Jon King and others acting as the auctioneers. End result was a total of over $70.00 - and then Bola challenged the group assembled to make the total $100.00 - and they did! Even our visitor Ellis Aronson helped make up Bola's challenge.

New Member Installation

Ken Burgess officiated at the installation of the club's newest member Ade Stephen. Ade is no stranger to Rotary since he is the husband of our President Bola Stephen...and Bola has a very long history of being active in Rotary both in the USA and in Nigeria.

Ade is a pastor for their church and he is very active in youth-oriented educational projects and community service activities. We look forward to Ade being an active participant in the various activities of our club...especially those that are youth oriented.

Our other new member, Terrence Thompson, was unable to attend the formal installation ceremonies but we will play "catch-up" at a future meeting. Terrence is already involved with Karen Blakeman in working on the U.S.Vets Mid-Town Facility Project.

Guests, Visitors and Other Good News

Ken Burgess introduced his friend Ellis Aronson as a visitor to the club.

Bill Landers got "lei'd" by Karen Blakeman as the latest club member to fulfill the "Every Rotarian Every Year" donation to the Rotary Foundation.

The club was led by Delores Delsing in a rousing chorus of "Happy Birthday" in honor of our beloved President Bola Stephen.
