The Children's Foundation

Steve Stout was our guest speaker this week and he told us about The Children's Foundation and its projects in Manzinillo, Mexico: Casa Hogar Los Angelitos (Home of the Little Angels) and Ministries de Amor (Ministries of Love).

Casa Hogar Los Angelitos provides full time care for children and has provided long term and temporary care for over 300 children since 1995. They provide medical, educational, and full care for the children in the home's responsibility. The Casa has cared for children with Leukemia, epilepsy, and other medical conditions as well as those who simply need a healthy environment to become healthy children.

The Casa Hogar in coordination with Ministerios de Amor also maintains an outreach program to extremely poor communities in the region of Manzanillo, Colima distributing food to communities such as Asaradera de la Lima. Clothing, school supplies and medical outreach is provided through out the year. Purification water systems were set up in different communities without potable water.

Ken Marsh re-introduced Frank Ha to the club members again this week. In turn Frank introduced his guest Wang Youping from China

Ken is sponsoring Frank as a potential new member in our club. If you have not taken an opportunity to talk with Frank please do so, since the Board will likely review an application for membership very soon.

Remember...no new member ever joins unless an exisiting member invites them to visit club meetings and then sponsors them for membership.
