Paul Harris, Founder of RotaryPaul Harris

Our program this week was a video look at some of the history of Rotary. One segment was a presentation of an interview with Paul Harris the founder of Rotary that was conducted in 1947.

It is interesting to note that the vision of Paul Harris for the future of Rotary as elicited 62 years ago remains the vision of Rotary today. It gives one confidence in the soldarity and the future of Rotary.

Guests, Visitors and Other Good News

We had three very special guests this week. Jeff Novy introduced Blake Yarborough, a self-employed mortgage company owner. Ken Burgess introduced Eddie Suchart, a self-employed entrepneur dealing in autographed sports paraphealia. Eddie and Jeff Novy will be working on ways to augment our Wine Tasting Dinner Silent Auction.

The most special (and precious) guest was Bola Stephen's introduction of her daughter Sarah to the club. Sarah is about four months old and just as cute as can be! Another future Rotarian...right Bola?

Karen Blakeman, Rotary Foundation Chairperson, recognized our latest members of the "Every Rotarian, Every Year" club. Donating a minimum of $120 in this Rotary Year ($20 goes to Polio Plus) are Jon King, Chuni Vyas and Archie Wilcox. Have you made your donation this year?
