PILL PUSHERS...A Big Phama Battle for Market Share

Ces Guerra was our guest this week talking about thCes Guerrae drug industry from his experience in the field. Ces held a number of positions with drug and health industry companies, including being a drug company rep calling on doctors' offices.

He addressed the testing, marketing and "pushing" of drugs, noting that in his opinion the US health system is broken and needs some major restructuring.

Ces is the co-author of a book that is a fictionalized version of the way the drug industry operates. When the deaths of patients on a profitable new drug threaten the lavish lifestyles of top executives at InnovaMed Pharmaceuticals, it sets in motion a sinister sequence of events involving corporate deception and murder. As the FBI steps in to investigate possible criminal activity and the FDA moves in to take a closer look at the drug’s clinical data, InnovaMed decides they must protect their profits at any cost. Unbeknownst to each other Seth Garrett, a pharmaceutical sales manager, and Jenna Reeves, a pharmaceutical sales rep, are pulled into the escalating controversy and the two colleagues are faced with the choice to either play it safe or change their industry forever. The book "Pill Pushers...A Big Phama Battle for Market Share" is available from Amazon.com
