Bill Lamza presented a controversial yet thought-provoking topic: Securing the US Borders.

And remember...securing our borders relates not only to people...it also relates to unsafe foods and unsafe consumer products. With the continuing expansion of the global exonomy ourlives are becoming more and more intertwined with other countries. All we have to do is figure out how to allow this to continue while also maintaining the high level of safety we have become accustomed to in this country. |

Guests Visitors and Other Good News
At this week's meeting we were delighted to have a number of new guests and visitors, along with a familiar face that showed up again. Archie introduced a former club member, Jim McDonald, as his visitor this week. Ken Burgess had Joe Stiles and his guest, and we once again welcomed Kevin Moore as a visitor. We also had a visiting former Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar, Corbett Parker. Y'all come back...hear?!?! |

Club Social Was Finger Lickin' Good!
We had some 18 people at Finger Licking for an introduction to Nigerian cooking...and everyone enjoyed the comraderie as well as the food.
At the conclusion of the meal, Karen Blakeman made a special presentation - welcoming Carolyn King in to the family as a Paul Harris Fellow. She has had $1,000 or more given in her name to the Rotary Foundation to achieve this honor. |
