National Night Out

Detective Stephen Ruff from the Jersey Village Police Department was our guest speaker this week.  He spoke to us about the Natoional Night Out, scheduled this yeat for Tuesday, August 7th.

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT is designed to:

  • Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness;
  • Generate support for, and participation in, local anticrime programs;
  • Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and
  • Send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

It's America's Night Out Against Crime!

The "24th Annual National Night Out" (NNO), a unique crime/drug prevention event sponsored by the National Association of Town Watch (NATW), has been scheduled for Tuesday, August 7, 2007. We cordially invite you and your community to be a part of our NIGHT OUT 2007 team.

Last year's National Night Out campaign involved citizens, law enforcement agencies, civic groups, businesses, neighborhood organizations and local officials from over 10,000 communities from all 50 states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities and military bases worldwide. In all, over 34 million people participated in NNO 2006.

You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown

The family or Rotary outing to the Dionysus Theatre was terrific!  Boy!  To see those actors putting everything they had into their parts - to entertain the audience - was wonderful!  And they were so funny!

The club had 10 in attendance Saturday evening, July 14th, and four more were expected for the Sunday Matinee on July 15th. It was a wonderful Family of Rotary outing!

Look for more fun events coming soon to Rotary!
