John Nadu and Tanner PageBo's Place - Grief Counseling

Taner Page was the guest speaker this week, bringing us the story of Bo's Place.

Bo's Place offers a unique program that provides free grief support services to children and their families who have experienced the death of a parent or sibling. Bo's Place is founded on the belief that children need to share with other grieving children in order to heal. Bo's Place offers the only ongoing program for grieving children and their families in the greater Houston area.

Bo's Place began in 1990 as a grief support information-and-referral line. Callers were provided with important free grief resources and support contacts within the Greater Houston Area. In 1995, Bo's Place relocated to a home in Houston's Museum District and expanded its services to fulfill the critical need for a program dedicated to meeting the needs of grieving children. Today, Bo's Place remains Houston's oldest and only ongoing and free-of-charge grief support program focused on helping grieving children heal.
